Riley Green Closes Out Sold-Out Canadian Run of Damn Country Music Tour With Big Hits, Big Crowds, and Even Bigger Milestones

Riley Green didn’t just bring his Damn Country Music Tour to Canada—he brought the house down. The CMA and ACM Award-winning country powerhouse wrapped the sold-out Canadian leg of his headlining trek in front of a roaring crowd in London, Ontario on Saturday, April 5, leaving fans with full hearts, sore throats, and some unforgettable memories.

According to the press release, the tour spanned coast to coast with packed-out stops in Kelowna, Abbotsford, Regina, Kingston, Toronto, and London, giving fans a front-row seat to Green’s signature blend of backroad nostalgia and boots-on-the-ground authenticity. With hits like “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” “Different ‘Round Here,” “Georgia Time,” and his current Canadian Top 20 smash “Worst Way” ringing through arenas, it’s safe to say that Riley Green gave Canada a damn good time.

Green’s momentum north of the border has been undeniable. Since his 2018 debut EP with Big Machine Label Group, he’s steadily built a loyal global following. And the numbers speak volumes—according to the press release, Green has notched over 284 million streams in Canada and more than 5 billion worldwide. That’s not just a wave of success—it’s a full-on flood.

The night before the tour wrapped, during his Toronto show on April 4, Green was surprised with a milestone moment of his own. Representatives from Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment and Big Machine Label Group presented him with a commemorative plaque recognizing multiple Canadian music certifications. The list of achievements is nothing short of impressive:

“I Wish Grandpas Never Died” – 3× Platinum

“There Was This Girl” – 3× Platinum

“Different ‘Round Here” – 2× Platinum

“Worst Way” – Platinum

Different ‘Round Here (album) – Gold

“If It Wasn’t For Trucks” – Gold

“Georgia Time” – Gold

“Half Of Me” – Gold

Not bad for a guy who still sings about fishing holes and Friday nights.

And the accolades keep rolling in. Green is currently nominated for five awards at the upcoming 60th ACM Awards, including nods that reflect his growing impact on the genre. In 2024, he picked up his first CMA Award for Musical Event of the Year for “You Look Like You Love Me” and continues to build on a resume that already includes being the ACM’s New Male Artist of the Year (2020), a MusicRow Breakout Artist, a CMT “Listen Up Artist,” and a CRS New Face.

Of course, fans already know Riley Green’s live shows are the stuff of country dreams. In 2023, he hit the road alongside Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs as direct support, playing for crowds averaging 65,000 strong each night. Now with the Ain’t My Last Rodeo Tour already making waves in 2024, it’s clear that Green is nowhere near slowing down.

And good news, Canada—he’ll be back this summer. According to the press release, Green is set to return for Country Thunder in Calgary and Winnipeg, as well as LASSO Festival in Montreal and the Misty City Music Festival in Niagara Falls.

If the Damn Country Music Tour proved anything, it’s that Riley Green’s brand of down-home, high-energy country resonates just as loudly north of the border—and he’s only just getting started.
