Onoleigh is making a statement with her debut EP First Rodeo, set to release on March 14. The five-track project is more than just a first outing—it's a bold, emotionally charged introduction to an artist who refuses to be boxed in. Blending Nashville’s signature storytelling with the slick, polished production of Los Angeles pop, Onoleigh turns heartbreak into a high-energy, empowering ride that listeners won’t soon forget.

Produced by Grammy-nominated Emile Ghantous (Pitbull, Boyz II Men, Fifth Harmony), First Rodeo is a genre-bending project that balances vulnerability and confidence with ease. Co-written by Onoleigh, Ghantous, Josh Goode (two-time Emmy-winning songwriter), Sam SZND (four-time Platinum songwriter), and Ally Sou, the EP feels both deeply personal and universally relatable.

“This EP is all the different sides of me—the hopeless romantic, the girl crying on the bathroom floor, and the one walking away like a total badass,” Onoleigh shares. “I think anyone who’s ever had their heart broken will find a song that feels like their own.”

Each track unfolds like a journal entry, with raw emotion woven into every lyric. From the gut-wrenching sorrow of Bottomless Tears, where she mourns the life she envisioned with a lost love, to the unapologetic confidence of First Rodeo, the EP’s title track and undeniable centerpiece, Onoleigh proves she’s a powerhouse in the making. The single is electric, brimming with swagger, and laced with an undeniable sense of freedom. “It’s a little bit cocky, a little bit wild, and it sets the tone for the whole EP,” she explains. “This record is about taking the reins back, not just in love, but in life.”

Lead singles Higher Standards, Drink and Cry, and OK Later set the stage for what’s to come, offering glimpses of Onoleigh’s versatility. Whether she’s serving up soulful ballads or fiery anthems, her dynamic vocal delivery and sharp storytelling make it clear that she’s a new voice to watch in Music City.

With First Rodeo, Onoleigh isn’t just stepping onto the scene—she’s kicking down the doors with an unshakable presence. If this debut is any indication, she’s not only ready for the ride—she’s in full control of where it’s headed.
