Morgan Wallen Hits A Home Run For Sold Out Chicago Show "We Back Baby"
It has been six long hard weeks, but Morgan Wallen is back in action!
Last night (June 22nd) was a big deal for superstar Morgan Wallen. After a hard six weeks recovery due to vocal strain and nearly a dozen postposed concerts, the Tennessee native was back in action.

Buzzing with fans both young and old, a lot of cowboy boots hats and beer, Chicago's Wrigley Field was full of energy. Fans from as far as the West Coast came to show their support for Morgan.
The lights on the iconic Friendly Confines went down and the crowd went wild. With a nod to the Chicago Bulls, Morgan and his band came out to the basketball teams famous theme. With a pop of the fireworks and the sharp chords of the guitar, Morgan Wallen appeared and it was off to the races.
Energy and adrenaline was high and the star kicked things off his this debut hit Up Down. Without skipping a beat, sporting his signature mullet and bright grin Morgan didn't slow down. High energy hit and fan favorite I Wrote The Book keep the crowd on its feet. Then Morgan stopped to take in the view that he so desperately missed.
"About six weeks ago, I wasn't sure if I would ever be able to sing again," the superstar told the sold out crowd. "But we back." Morgan also addressed the haters but was more excited to see all the support he has had over his time off. "I couldn't do this without everything yall do for me," he said over cheers.

Right back at it, title track One Thing At A Time, kept fans dancing with their beers in the air all the way through viral hit Everything I Love. Finally taking a breath, Morgan slowed it down for his attempt at a baseball song with 98 Braves. “I don’t have any songs about the Cubs… I’ll work on that. This is my best shot at a baseball song.”
Morgan's return seemed like a giant love letter from start to finish. Playing staples like You Proof and Still Going Down proved his dominance in the genre with fans screaming from the nosebleeds. Standout tracks like Sand In My Boots and Cover Me Up invited to paint the Chicago night sky with lights creating a truly magical moment, and a few proposals around us.
"My momma’s out there somewhere tonight… this one’s for you,” Morgan told the crowd as he strapped on his guitar before strumming a stripped down version of his mega hit Thought You Should Know.
Friend and collaborator ERNEST joined Morgan on stage for their duet Flower Shops. The stars ended the epic moment by throwing dozens of roses into the crowd, melting hearts.

From then on the energy never let up. Like a turbo boost Morgan was off to the races. The back half of the 24 song set served as a greatest hits and we were not complaining. This Bar, Wasted On You and More Than My Hometown, kept the crowd dancing into the late hours of a beautiful Chicago night!
"This is normally where I take a break," Morgan told the fired up crowd. 'But one of my buddies is in town. Yall give it up for Lil Durk." Needless to say the iconic field shook with excitement as the rapper joined Morgan on stage for their new track Stand By Me.
Capping off his triumphant return, Morgan ran laps around the stage beaming to his last three hits of the night. Dawning a custom Wallen Cubs jersey Morgan shined! His record breaking Last Night, fan favorite Heartless and the career defining Whiskey Glasses rounded out Wallen's welcomed comeback.
Twenty-four songs and nearly two hours on stage, Wallen made his mark.From fans rallying around a young woman holding a sign that read “GOALS: Beat cancer twice √, Picture with Morgan Wallen ▢,” to 41,538 fans to being the first country artist to sell out back to back nights at Wrigley, we will proudly say this was a huge success! From the high production value filled with pyrotechnics, three story video screens and even the stage dawning a MW shape, Morgan's heart and soul was in every ounce of the show!
Say what you will about Morgan Wallen. But we assure you that seeing believing when it comes to Wallen. Refused to be knocked down and humbled by support, the Sneedville hometown hero won't back down. The sheer magnitude of the night echoed from the drums all the way to the nosebleeds. Morgan had a challenge and damn did he rise to it. The born hitmaker and generational talent as awoken something in country music that hasn't been seen in decades. From screaming young fans, seasoned concert goers to older couples, Morgan Wallen has the innate ability to ignite a fire in all of us. Knocked down but not knocked out, Morgan Wallen's Entertainer Of The Year award should be coming soon.
