In the ever-vibrant world of country music, Kane Brown has once again proven his star power with his latest chart-topping hit, "I Can Feel It." This high-energy anthem not only marks Kane's 11th No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart but also cements his status as a powerhouse in the genre. The song surged from No. 4 to the top spot on the list dated March 16, amassing 32.1 million impressions during the March 1-7 tracking week, according to Luminate.
The Celebration
The milestone was celebrated in grand style at BMI’s Nashville office, where Kane Brown, along with co-writers Gabe Froust and Jaxson Free, shared the story behind the song with All Country News and other media outlets. The camaraderie and excitement in the room were palpable as the trio reflected on their creative journey and the joy of seeing their hard work pay off.
The Story Behind the Song
The origins of "I Can Feel It" are as unique as the song itself. Gabe Froust recounted the serendipitous moment that sparked the idea:
"We were in Toronto, and it was actually my first time ever writing with KB. We had gone to a show the night before and were hanging out in the green room. Kane was playing a bunch of classic songs, and Martha Rose suggested it would be cool to turn Phil Collins' 'In the Air Tonight' into a country song. That idea stuck with me, and back at the hotel, I quickly put together a rough track and sent it to Jaxson. I told him this could either be really dumb or really cool. Jaxson loved it and insisted we show it to Kane the next day. Kane was immediately on board, and we finished writing it together. That's pretty much how it came about."
Reflections and Gratitude
For Kane Brown, this song is more than just another hit; it’s a testament to the power of collaboration and friendship. Reflecting on the achievement, Kane shared heartfelt sentiments:
"Thanks to everybody in this room. I love the fact that I got to be Jaxson's first number one, now I'm his second, and I get to be Gabe's first number one. It's just cool to be able to get them their first number ones and to write and call them friends. For me, having my own publishing company now puts a whole new perspective on this journey."
A Bright Future
As Kane Brown continues to climb the charts and break new ground in country music, "I Can Feel It" stands as a shining example of his talent and his ability to bring out the best in his collaborators. With each new release, Kane not only solidifies his legacy but also opens doors for new talents in the industry. His success is a testament to the magic that happens when creativity, friendship, and hard work come together.
In the world of country music, Kane Brown's journey is one to watch, and "I Can Feel It" is a song to celebrate—a reminder that the best is yet to come.
