Cole Swindell Raises a Toast (and Maybe a Tear) with 2025 Headlining "Happy Hour Sad Tour"

Cole Swindell is about to crank the volume on country music's ultimate emotional rollercoaster with his freshly announced 2025 headlining Happy Hour Sad Tour—and we’ve got a feeling this one’s going to be equal parts sing-along joyride and heart-tugging confessional.

According to the press release, the Happy Hour Sad Tour kicks off September 4 in Toledo, Ohio, and will be produced by Pepper Entertainment, with Florida dates handled by AEG Live. On board for this ride are three rising country stars that Swindell says he “really believes in”: Priscilla Block, Logan Crosby, and Greylan James. Expect this tour to be a powerhouse blend of high-energy hits and soul-bearing moments.

“I cannot wait to get out on the road this year for the Happy Hour Sad Tour,” Swindell shared. “Getting to write songs and make music for a living is a dream come true… I hope the fans that spend their hard-earned money to come out and support us know how much we appreciate it.”

The tour name comes straight from a brand-new track on Swindell’s upcoming fifth studio album, Spanish Moss, which is set to drop June 27 via Warner Music Nashville. And yes—if the title track is any indication, this album is going to hit different.

According to the press release, Spanish Moss includes Swindell’s current Top 5 single “Forever To Me”, a love letter co-written with Greylan James and Rocky Block that initially honored his wedding to his wife Courtney. But in true country fashion, the story’s getting sweeter: it now marks the couple’s journey into parenthood, with their first child—a baby girl—expected this fall. (We’re not crying, you’re crying.)

To celebrate, Swindell recently released a special digital remix: “Forever To Me (Our Version)”, complete with never-before-seen wedding footage. If you're into heartstrings and harmonies, go grab a box of tissues and hit play.

Swindell also dropped the album’s title track, “Spanish Moss”, to digital platforms, which he co-wrote with Devin Dawson, Jordan Minton, and Jordan Reynolds. According to the press release, the song holds a special place in Swindell’s heart, reminding him of where his dad lived when he was growing up. It’s a personal touch that’s sure to resonate with fans who appreciate the deeply rooted stories behind his music.

Down Home Crew, You’re Up First

For the die-hard Swindell faithful, the Down Home Crew Presale begins Tuesday, April 8 at 10 a.m. local time, giving fans an early shot at tickets before they go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 11 at 10 a.m. local. Tour stops stretch from Ohio to Montana and wrap with a three-night Florida finale at some of the Sunshine State’s most iconic venues, including Hard Rock Live in Hollywood and The St. Augustine Amphitheatre.

So whether you’re coming for the happy hour or staying for the sad songs, this fall is shaping up to be one for the books.
