With his self-titled debut under Warner Music Nashville, Chase Matthew has stepped into the mainstream spotlight, delivering his most accomplished and personal album to date. CHASE isn’t just an album; it’s a declaration—a raw, unapologetic look at the man behind the music. Through 13 powerful tracks, Matthew showcases his signature blend of country grit, modern storytelling, and sonic innovation, proving he’s more than just another newcomer in the genre.

A third studio album but his first with a major label, CHASE finds Matthew taking full creative control, co-writing nine songs and even stepping into co-production on the hauntingly introspective “WAITING ON YOU TO CALL.” In doing so, he achieves a balance between high-energy anthems and deeply personal ballads, solidifying his versatility as an artist.

A Collection That Cuts Deep

The album kicks off with “DRIVES MY TRUCK,” a high-octane anthem that embraces the rebel spirit of country music, setting the tone for what’s to come. Matthew’s storytelling prowess shines on “MISSIN’ ME MISSIN’ YOU” and “BACKROADS OF MY MIND,” which capture the highs and lows of love and nostalgia. But it’s “I DON’T WANNA KNOW” that truly pushes boundaries—an electrifying fusion of trap beats and country grit that finds Matthew wrestling with the pain of moving on. Written by Victor Williams, Fraser Churchill, Danny Majić, and Willie Morrison, the track exemplifies Matthew’s fearless approach to country’s evolving soundscape.

Beyond the crowd-pleasers, CHASE ventures into vulnerable territory. “HEART HALF EMPTY” with Lauren Alaina stands out as an emotional centerpiece, a tender duet that strips away bravado and lays heartbreak bare. Meanwhile, “FIRE IN HER EYES” is a sultry, slow-burning standout, showcasing Matthew’s vocal prowess and ability to bring intensity to a love song.

The Making of a Star

What makes CHASE such a compelling project is its ability to straddle the line between authenticity and evolution. Matthew isn’t afraid to take risks, to bring new influences into his sound, and to tell stories that feel undeniably real. His gritty yet polished delivery, paired with genre-blending production, allows him to carve a space that feels uniquely his own.

With CHASE, Matthew solidifies himself as more than just an artist to watch—he’s an artist here to stay. His ability to craft songs that resonate, whether through hard-hitting party tracks or deeply personal ballads, proves that he understands the heart of country music while fearlessly pushing its boundaries. This album isn’t just another step forward in his career; it’s a bold, defining moment.
