Shelton, now 48, first arrived in Nashville at just 17 years old with dreams of making it big in country music. His journey began with Warner Music Nashville's predecessor, Giant Records, where he signed his first record deal. In a heartfelt statement, Shelton reflected on the early days of his career and the role Warner played in helping him achieve his dreams.

"I moved to Nashville when I was 17 to sing country music and get a record deal," Shelton shared. "Along with the support from Warner, my dreams came true, and then some. It’s impossible to name everyone who has had a hand in all the success we enjoyed, but a huge and heartfelt thank you to the Giant Records, Warner Bros. Records and Warner Music Nashville staff and family," the Oklahoma native shared in a press release today Septemeber 3rd.

Shelton’s partnership with Warner Music Nashville resulted in numerous milestones that solidified his place in country music history. Over the years, he released 12 studio albums, starting with his self-titled debut in 2001. The album’s lead single, “Austin,” quickly shot to the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, staying there for five weeks and establishing Shelton as a force to be reckoned with in the industry.

His career only soared higher from there. Shelton has achieved 28 No. 1 singles, including hits like “God Gave Me You,” “Honey Bee,” and “Ol’ Red,” each contributing to his reputation as a versatile and dynamic artist. In addition to his success on the charts, Shelton has earned numerous accolades, including multiple CMA Awards, ACM Awards, and CMT Awards, as well as a Grammy nomination.

Warner Music Nashville echoed Shelton’s sentiments in a collective statement, expressing their deep appreciation for the artist and the journey they shared. “Working alongside Blake these past 23 years has been an honor and a privilege,” the label shared. “Together, we’ve celebrated a record number of hit songs, sold-out tours and award wins. Blake’s talent is undeniable, but that wit of his, and the countless moments of laughter he’s given us remind us how fun this business of music can be. While our time together has come to an end, we count ourselves amongst his biggest fans and are grateful for the ride with this true gentleman and icon.”

Shelton's time with Warner was also marked by his crossover success as a coach on NBC’s The Voice, where he became a household name, further endearing himself to millions of fans beyond the country music world. His down-to-earth personality and quick wit made him a favorite among viewers, and his role on the show helped him maintain a consistent presence in the spotlight.

As Shelton steps into this new chapter of his career, fans and industry insiders alike are left to wonder what’s next for the iconic singer. While details about his future endeavors remain under wraps, there’s no doubt that Shelton’s next move will be highly anticipated. His departure from Warner Music Nashville may signal a fresh start, but it also cements the legacy of an artist who has already achieved so much.
