Alyssa Micaela Steps Into Her Own In New Album "The Hard Way"

Alyssa Micaela is coming out swinging.

Full of country sass and a pitch of smart-assy, Alyssa Micaela whisks country fans into her world of country music in her latest project The Hard Way.

Coming out with a bang, you can tell that Alyssa is doing what she loves and doing it her way. The title track sets the tone for whole album. Chillingly relatable The Hard Way allows fans to connect to all the things that had to learn from their own mistakes. It can be using the wrong box dye or that toxic boy at the bar, Alyssa's natural knack for connecting is evident from the jump.

It isn't a secret that the music industry can be less than kind to young ladies who step into Nashville. Yet, Alyssa takes all those opinions and throws them in the Cumberland River and lets her authentic self shine.

"This album started because I finally got to a point where I quit seeking approval from the music industry, and quit recording songs I felt would impress a label," says Micaela.

Another standout on the project has to be The Bar Guy. Oozing with authentic storytelling and an innovative approach, this upbeat tune refuses to be put in a box. The song takes a timeless theme of finding Mr. Right Now in the bar and finding out it may had been the Jose Cuervo talking.

But let's not forget the Texan strong anthem Girls Like Me. The song is a strong stamp of self approval. She doesn't care if "girls like you, don't like girls like me." Plus you won't catch Alyssa braiding your hair at a sleepover. The self love power tune adds another layer to this dynamic project.

Full of earnest storytelling, youthful vigor and alot of twang, Alyssa has truly put her best foot forward. Her approach and artistry contrasts from most other Texan country acts, putting a fresh edge on the traditional aspects of her genre.

“SAYING I’M PROUD OF THIS ALBUM IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. THIS ALBUM IS AN EVOLUTION OF MY LIFE AND LOVE STORY. IT’S ME.”
